Join the Mahoning Valley Safety Council for an engaging and informative event featuring Eric Wilhelm, Chief Meteorologist at WFMJ, as he discusses severe weather trends and how we can all be better weather prepared. From sudden storms to extreme temperatures, severe weather can significantly impact employee safety, business operations, and travel logistics. Learn how your organization can proactively prepare for weather-related disruptions and protect your most valuable assets—your people and your operations.

Eric Wilhelm is the chief meteorologist at 21 WFMJ, a position he has held since January 2013. As the Valley's self-proclaimed "Weather Geek," Eric's enthusiasm and love of the weather knows no bounds! The Earth's atmosphere is an extraordinarily complex system, and Eric loves the daily challenge of trying to figure it all out. Prior to joining the 21 WFMJ weather team, Eric spent 11 years at AccuWeather, Inc. in State College, PA. While at AccuWeather, he forecasted every type of weather for every type of climate in North America and broadcast AccuWeather forecasts on radio and television stations in dozens of markets across the country. Eric is originally from New Philadelphia, Ohio, just 90 minutes southwest of Youngstown. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from The Ohio State University in 2001. Eric is the Valley's only meteorologist who holds the American Meteorological Society's Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal.
